The Light, the Thunder, and the Rain. But mostly the Light. A Pilgrim’s Odyssey is your daily dose of hope navigating family, faith, and living free. Silouan Green, The Pilgrim’s Odyssey host, began to find his own answers after a tragic jet crash on an epic 23-month, over 20,000 mile motorcycle trip. Since then, he has taught thousands to take positive action in facing the trials and traumas of life. Life is complicated. Where are you going?
Podcast description:
Silouan hit the road on his Kawasaki KLR650 - suicidal and recovering from a jet crash. An angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other were his companions. The Devil said, "Ride deep into the wilderness and use the Makarov .380 in your tank bag, a poetic end to your pain". The Angel said, "ride until you have a reason to live."
Silouan's journey would last twenty three months and over 20,000 miles. He found a reason to live. Since then, he has spent over 20 years helping veterans, first responders, adventurers, addicts, and people from all backgrounds find meaning and purpose in a crazy world. Here on, The Pilgrim's Odyssey, he shares the incredible stories and valuable lessons he's learned along the way.
A little more background from Silouan:
The Pilgrim's Odyssey has been a long time coming. For over 20 years I've been speaking around the country to people from all backgrounds who were faced with tragedy and fell into dark places. Alone in that hole, life can seem like an insurmountable climb.
Whether it's been a keynote speech at a conference, or a longer workshop or retreat, I usually get asked something like, "I wish I could hear you more. So much more to learn and talk about." With a busy travel schedule, I've often considered podcasting but really never sat down to plan it right. I don't like doing things without a good solid plan.
The coronavirus outbreak was my kick in the pants. Suddenly, with some downtime, I realized that not just for times like these, but for all those moments people went home from one of my talks and trainings, I needed this to complete what I started with my presentations.
Here I will share stories, lessons, and lots of inspiration that will keep you motivated and entertained, and hopefully, always a boost of hope.
