Emotional numbing shuts us down – we can’t feel, we can’t experience. We cannot see a route to change.

When I lost my Sister, and suffered a micarriage, then diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, heavily medicated, and on the couch for 2 years, i was definately numb from the losses. My Boyfriend sang to me, took me to concerts, brought me to family dinners, we went to fairs, and festivals. I joined a group at church, i started reading. And excercising again. He literally woke my heart up. Im awake! And feel all sorts of feelings!
